King of Prussia, PA, February 7, 2000—The Washington, D.C. Technology Council, Inc. ("DC Tech") has endorsed America’s Choice Healthplans to supply online benefits administration services to its hundreds of members throughout the Greater Washington, D.C. area. America’s Choice Healthplans owns and operates the world’s first online benefits administrator to provide real-time, interactive benefit management, administration and reporting for employees, employers and participating health care providers over the Internet.

"We are pleased to collaborate with America’s Choice Healthplans to offer an outstanding tool to our member companies," says Jay Young, president of the Washington, D.C. Technology Council. "MyAmericasChoice.com has a unique online positioning which provides our members with a highly efficient, state-of-the-art tool to effectively manage their healthcare plans and programs over the Internet, thereby improving their operating efficiencies."

America’s Choice Healthplans is the first third-party benefits administrator to offer a true online management interface, one that provides real-time monitoring and management capabilities to its members.

"We’re committed to providing our members with all of the advantages electronic commerce can offer by bringing benefits administration online," says Clelland Green, president of America’s Choice Healthplans. "Our endorsement by DC Tech speaks volumes about our technology and how quickly it is being embraced by companies who understand the value of the Internet as a business tool."

By simply logging onto America’s Choice Healthplans’ Web site, DC Tech members can easily review and monitor claims, employee eligibility, locate medical providers nationwide, as well as generate real-time, on-the-fly graphical managed care reports that provide a snapshot of their benefits program. Employees can log on to find participating healthcare providers, review their claims and eligibility, make dependent status changes or request additional ID cards, as well as find detailed information regarding their benefits.

The new program, which is available to all DC Tech members, will be marketed exclusively through the Insurance Exchange.
